The boys of Troop 287 will be doing the Environmental Science merit badge at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo on Saturday, Nov 2. This is one of the Eagle required merit badges and one we DON’T do during troop meetings (because of all the materials needed to do the merit badge). Probably the next best opportunity to earn this merit badge will be at summer camp.
Location: Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost: $26.25 per scout (CLICK HERE to register and pay online now)
Uniform: Class A
We’ll also need to adults to attend as well. Not certain if there’s a cost for an adult to attend or not yet.
Due to certain time constraints, some sections of this merit badge may not be completed at the Zoo: Pollution Prevention (3F1 or 3F2) List 10 ways to prevent pollution and practice two of these at home for 7 days. This Homework will need to be completed ahead of time.
